Why pairs fail

Two moments break cheap eyewear

Fog on the climb and slide on the descent. Both come from the same cause: too much frame, not enough ventilation, and rubber that turns slick the moment it gets wet.

We solve it by removing material rather than adding features. A rimless lower edge lets air move under the lens. A hydrophilic compound in the nose pad and temple tips gets tackier as your heart rate climbs, so the fit tightens exactly when you need it to.

Light category, explained

Cat. 3 for almost everything. Cat. 4 for snow.

Light category is how much visible light reaches your eye. Cat. 3 transmits 8–18% and is correct for almost all daytime outdoor use. Cat. 4 transmits 3–8% and exists for one job: high-altitude snow, where you are getting direct sun plus everything bouncing back off the surface.

Getting this wrong is the single most common mistake in outdoor eyewear. A Cat. 4 lens is not legal for driving in the EU and is genuinely dangerous on a road. A Cat. 3 lens will not protect you on a glacier. We label every model so you can pick by terrain, not by looks.
